Does insurance cover a home visit?

Yes. Home visits are billed to insurance the same as an office visit: we accept Medicaid, Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, Molina Healthcare, CareSource, Ambetter, and most major commercial and supplemental plans. A house call is not an out-of-pocket luxury service here; it is standard primary care delivered where the patient is. Self-pay rates and a monthly membership option are also available.

What areas do you serve?

We provide home visits across Central Indiana, with core coverage in Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Boone, Morgan, and Johnson counties, generally within about an hour and ten minutes' drive. Telehealth is available statewide across Indiana. If you are near the edge of that range or unsure whether your address is covered, call us at 317-760-5319 and we will confirm.

How quickly can someone be seen after a hospital or rehab discharge?

Transitional care is a core focus. We prioritize post-discharge patients and aim to see them within the first several days after they get home, when the risk of a return trip to the hospital is highest. Call us as soon as a discharge is planned and we will coordinate timing.

Do you replace the patient's current doctor, or work alongside them?

Either way, depending on what the patient needs. We can serve as the primary care provider, or work alongside an existing physician and specialists, sharing records back and coordinating care. For patients leaving the hospital, we frequently provide the bridge follow-up and keep the existing care team informed.

Can you prescribe medications?

Yes. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner practice, we prescribe and manage medications, including reconciling every medication after a hospital stay. Certain controlled substances have additional legal requirements and are handled according to state and federal rules.

What happens if there is a medical emergency during a visit or at home?

Home visits and telehealth are for primary and ongoing care, not emergencies. For a medical emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. Our team can help coordinate care after an emergency, including post-hospital follow-up.

Is telehealth as thorough as an in-person visit?

For many concerns (chronic disease check-ins, prescription management, mental health visits, lab result reviews, follow-ups), telehealth is just as effective and far more convenient. Anything that needs a hands-on physical exam is scheduled as a home visit instead. We decide together which format fits the concern.

How do labs and imaging work if there is no office?

We bring diagnostics to the patient. Blood can be drawn at home, and we carry point-of-care ultrasound, retinal imaging, and EKG for use during the visit. Results are reviewed directly with the patient, not just posted to a portal.

Who comes to the home?

Your provider is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. They're supported by a nurse care coordinator who helps with setup and stays in touch between visits, on a growing team.

How do I become a patient or book a visit?

Call 317-760-5319 or use the online booking request form. During business hours, we typically respond within an hour, and same-day and next-day appointments are available for sick visits and urgent concerns. Before your first visit, our care coordinator schedules a short welcome call with you by video, to talk through what you want from your care and set up insurance or Direct Primary Care membership, so nothing gets rushed once you're actually being seen.
