Kidan Medical is a family medicine and primary care practice serving Indianapolis and the underserved parts of Central Indiana. We keep a smaller patient panel than typical practices and run deeper diagnostics than a standard physical, with the depth of care you'd expect from a much larger system.
Kidan Medical grows out of a conviction our founder was raised with. In many Eastern cultures, elders and the sick are held in deep respect, and caring for them closely (going to them, easing their burden, giving more attention rather than less) isn't optional. It's simply what's expected of you.
That value is the foundation of this practice: care that comes to the patient, meets them where they are, and treats them with the attention and respect they deserve. The house-call model isn't a business strategy here. It's an expression of how we believe the sick and the elderly should be treated.
That same respect extends to the whole person, not just the diagnosis. We try to honor what matters to each patient, including a quiet openness to the spiritual side of care for those who welcome it. That's never a substitute for clinical care, and never something we impose. It's simply part of treating someone as a whole person.
Much of the in-home health industry exists to gather data. Clinicians are sent into homes mainly to complete risk assessments and generate documentation for Medicare and insurance plans. Those visits are built around the paperwork.
Kidan Medical works the other way. Our home visits start with the person in front of us, understanding them, not just charting them. Everything else, the paperwork, the coordination, the follow-up, happens around that, not instead of it. For everything beyond the visit itself, we do the reaching out: setting up flexible telehealth, checking in, and making it easy to stay in touch with your provider without having to chase down your own care.
That starts before your first visit. Every new patient gets a welcome call with our care coordinator, by video, separate from any clinical exam. We're not collecting paperwork on that call, we're asking what you want from a provider, what you'd like your care to focus on, and walking through your insurance or Direct Primary Care membership setup. By the time you're seen, you're already a person your provider understands, not a new chart.
Care at home and telehealth through your own provider is already more private than moving through a busy facility. Kidan Medical goes further by being deliberate about the tools it uses.
"We don't run your visit through consumer AI tools or ambient-listening scribe apps. In plain terms, we don't feed your visit into outside apps."
Your information is kept only in systems built for clinical use.
At the same time, Kidan Medical is genuinely tech-forward. We use the medical devices, clinical software, and organizational systems that work best, and pair them with the human connection that technology can't replace. The goal isn't to avoid technology. It's to use the right technology, in the right place, with your privacy and dignity protected.
Traditional primary care asks patients to do the work: driving, parking, sitting in a waiting room, taking half a day off, all before a visit that still gets rushed. We built Kidan Medical to flip that: full-depth primary care delivered by video or directly in your home, on your schedule.
Skip the drive, the parking, and the room full of other sick patients. Your visit starts on time, wherever you are.
Without exam rooms to rotate through, visits aren't rushed to keep a schedule of double-booked patients moving.
No transportation barrier for older adults, patients with mobility limits, or anyone who can't take a half day off work for an appointment.
Full diagnostics, lab work, and treatment, without the overhead of a physical building driving up the cost of your care.
Post-discharge follow-ups, hospice and post-acute care evaluations, and community placement consultation, so care doesn't stop at the hospital door.
Monday through Saturday, so care fits around your schedule instead of the other way around.
Founder of Kidan Medical and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than twenty years in healthcare and over 10,000 hours of clinical experience, including work as a general provider in Eritrea under the Ministry of Health before completing his nurse practitioner training in the United States. His experience includes time at Eskenazi Health and Signify Health, caring for patients across Indianapolis in both hospital and home-based settings. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Indiana State University, cum laude, and practices fluently in Amharic, Tigrinya, and English. Outside of medicine, he serves as a priest in the Orthodox Christian Church.
Every patient at Kidan Medical is seen by a dedicated provider directly, not routed through a rotating cast of clinicians. That's deliberate: continuity of care, a provider who actually knows your history, and one point of accountability for your outcomes, not a name on an org chart.
As the practice grows, any provider who joins will be held to that same standard: enough time per visit, direct access, and real continuity, not a bigger panel with less of you in it.
Kidan Medical was founded by a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who also serves as its primary provider in Indianapolis, IN, personally involved in every patient's care, backed by a clinical model built to grow.
Kidan Medical serves Indianapolis and the underserved parts of Central Indiana that larger systems often overlook, with the same diagnostic depth patients expect from a regional health system: 60+ biomarker lab panels, advanced diagnostics delivered to your home, and a smaller patient panel so every appointment gets real time, not a rushed slot.
